Consider it to be a bit like the BMF is to UK bike clubs, it brings together BMW Owner Clubs (both car and bike) and gives them a group voice used to approach BMW about how the clubs interract with the company.
Previously, BMW Club Europa e.V. (BCE) was the sole
umbrella organisation for all European BMW Clubs.
On 19th September 2007 the UK, Irish and
Scandinavian BMW clubs, both Car and Motorcycle, left
BCE and formed a new umbrella organisation (FEBC) that
better caters for the needs of the clubs in those countries.
The official start date for this new organisation
was 1st January 2008.
It was then renamed in 2009 (at the time BMW changed their corporate image) and became the current
BCEF.
It is now officially recognised by BMW and is a member
of the International Council of BMW Clubs.
For more details, see BMW
Clubs European Federation website.
The BMW Club representative to BCEF is Peter
Dunn.
BCEF news and discussions may be found on our forum
in the members only section.
