The Chequers Pub on Sunday 13th March 2011

Mid February it was brought to the committee’s attention that the pub to which we had planned to go on the 13th March (The Bedingfield Arms in Oxborough) had ceased trading. A flurry of emails later and Mark Handley came to the rescue suggesting (and going on to arrange) for us to instead go to the Chequers Pub. What follows is a brief report and a couple of photos from the meeting.
I took a couple of photos at the Chequers this lunchtime just to show the folks that some of us did make the journey, despite the threat of forecast rain.
The pub serves a good selection of food and there was plenty of room to park.
About a dozen members attended with Dave, a new member from Peterborough making his first foray to a Sunday meet. He tells me that he has booked to go the the Voges and was very interested in the Banham weekend, hopefully it will not disappoint!
Unfortunately the return journey for me was not quite as pleasant as the outward trip as it rained, oh well, another bike cleaning session needed 🙂
