The BMW Club National Rally

Where is Ellesmere College I hear you ask? Ellesmere is a town in Shropshire just north of Shrewsbury.

If we use the maps that define our section's boundaries it is at the point where the Northern meets Western and Mercia sections.

The 2012 rally title is “Escape to Ellesmere”.

I now write the following report to keep you informed about this event and also offer you an opportunity to be involved because we will defi nitely need your support. My thanks extend to Piers Kurrein “Club Ads “who has produced the rally logo, the first showing of which is here to mark the rally site.

Promotional clothing items will be available (check the menu to the left) prior to the event and will be available directly from the rally website. We have a very active team of volunteers that are managing the usual key aspects of the event.

Here they are detailed below with their responsibilities.

• Cliff Batley - Bars and Catering liaison, Trade stands co-ordinator.
• Dick Boyd - Communications Equipment.
• Mark Dutton - E.C. Liaison, Entertainments manager, Volunteer co-ordinator, Marketing.
• Nick Fearn - Website designer.
• Jim Lepley -Accounts and Booking co-ordinator.
• Judy Lepley- Housekeeping co-ordinator.
• Stewart Lowthian - National Rally Weekend Magazine.
• Reg Moule - Health & Safety events manager, Camping and Motor-homes liaison.
